What is it reacting to? Also I need a replacement Victoreen Tube, do you know where I could get one for a reasonable price, with vacuum failure guarantee?
Nice CD V-700 6B GM-Counter! The wire on my probe was worn, and I had to remove it. I’d like to get an alpha particle sensitive (mica) probe, such as a mica-end window, pancake, or box-type probe, or even a NaI(Tl) scintillator probe and just replace the worn standard pickle probe. I did buy another model, a CD V-700 6A GM-Counter (with pickle probe). I took my chances. I was told it was working, but stashed away. I bought it for $90. The CD V-700 6A works great. It’s still calibrated and clean.
